SIMEAON: The Evolution of Internet Communication

SIMEAON is a standards-based messaging backbone built for TCP/IP networks. Current applications include E-Mail and X.500 Directory Services. Key standards support includes IMAP, IMSP, MIME, Kerberos, X.500, DAP and LDAP.

SIMEAON will be of most interest to those organizations that have one or more of the following characteristics:

* a TCP/IP network inplace * a need to scale across a large employee (user) population

* multiple locations, likely spread across the country or the globe

* heterogeneous desktops - Windows, Mac, X/Motif and perhaps NT & OS/2 - with a desire for a common user interface

* users with multiple desktops (work, home, laptop) and a requirement to access mail from each of these
